TEAM COMPOSITION AND ENTRY

Point System

     Riders Will Be Scored As Follows:

     1. Main Points Only

     2. Riders scored as they finished, including combined races

     3. 1st Place = 20 points         2nd Place = 18 points

     4. 3rd Place = 16 points        4th Place = 14 points

     5. 5th Place = 12 points         6th Place = 10 points

     6. 7th Place = 8 points           8th Place = 6 points

     7. If a Rider Fails to Finish = Last Place Points

     8. If a Rider Does Not Start = 0 Points

     9. Bonus Points  3-6 Riders = 1 Point

   10. Bonus Points 7-12 Riders = 2 Points

   11. Bonus Points 13-18 Riders = 3 Points

   12. Bonus Points 19-24 Riders = 4 Points

   13. Bonus Points 25 or more  = 5 Points

 

   Team Sheet Scored as follows:

   1. Four (4) Riders are the total you may use for scoring.

   2. Highest Team Score for the day Wins.

   3. In case of Ties, we go back to the thrid (3) moto to see which team finished best. This is done as follows:

     Most first (1st) place finishes in 3rd moto; most second (2nd) place finishes in 3rd moto; most thirs (3rd) place finishes in 3rd moto. If still tied, same procedure for first (1st) moto. Again, Highest Point holder is winner. If there is STILL a Tie, Team with Highest Classification of Riders is the Winner.

AWARDS

1.  STATE QUALIFIERS & FINALS WILL AWARD A 100% PAYBACK OF THE ENTRY FEES COLLECTED THAT DAY. PAYBACK IS DISTRIBUTED AS FOLLOWS:

Two - Three Teams Pay 1st (100%)

Four - Five Teams Pay 1st (60%), 2nd (40%)

Six - Seven Teams Pay 1st (55%), 2nd (25%), 3rd (20%)

Eight - Nine Teams Pay 1st (50%), 2nd (25%), 3rd (15%), 4th (10%)

Ten or More Teams Pay  1st (45%), 2nd (25%), 3rd (15%), 4th (10%) 5th (5%)

2. ANY ADDITIONAL DONATED PRIZE MONEY WILL BE ADDED TO THE AWARD FUNDS AND DISTRIBUTED IN THE ABOVE PAYBACK FORMULA.

3. A TEAM MUST PARTICIPATE IN AT LEAST 4 STATE QUALIFIERS TO QUALIFY FOR THE STATE CHAMPIONSHIP RACE.

4.  THE FINAL TEAM STANDINGS WILL BE BASED ON THE POINTS FROM THE TEAM'S BEST 3 QUALIFIERS PLUS THE MICHIGAN STATE CHAMPIONSHIP RACE.

5. THE STATE SERIES TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP WILL HAVE ITS NAME ADDED TO THE PERPETUAL STATE TEAM SERIES CHAMPIONSHIP TROPHY.

TEAM RULES

1. Team Managers may enter up to two Teams per race.

2. Only the best of the two scores will be counted.

3. Qualifier Entry Fee is $10.00 per Team.

4. Finals Entry Fee is $15.00 per Team.

5. All Team Sheets must be signed by the Team Manager and submitted prior to the start of the FIRST MOTO.

6. The Team Manager must contact the Rider/Rider's parent to obtain written permission, (signed on Team Sheet) to enter a minor rider on their team.

7. Each team must have at least 4 different riders.

8. You may use five (5) riders and drop the lowest score.

9.  No more than one (1) rookie and one (1) cruiser may be used on Team Sheet.

10. You MUST designate the class of each rider.

11. A rider may NOT be used twice (2x) on a Team Sheet.

12.  A single team may use the same rider on 2 teams, but it must be in different classes, such as point class or cruiser.

13. Rain-out will be the NBL Standard.

14. Once a rider is used on a Team Sheet they are committed to that Team

15. If a rider chooses to leave a team, they cannot race for another Team for that Season.

16. A rider may NOT re-join a team for the season.

17.  A minimum of 3 Teams must be entered for the race to be official.

18. OPEN CLASS riders may NOT be used.

19. All GIRL Teams are Allowed.

20. Riders that have been RE-CLASSIFIED may NOT be used on Team Sheets for a perios of one (1) year (since the time of move-back) or until they return to their previous proficiency.
